Every Dollar, Doubled. Every Project, Local.
Through SCI International’s Matching Grants program, the conservation funds this chapter raises are matched dollar-for-dollar. We’ve used that leverage for decades — and we’ve got the project list to show for it.
EVERY DOLLAR WE DONATE IS MATCHED
How Matching Grants Work
SCI International runs a Matching Grants program available to chapters in good standing. When our chapter contributes to a qualifying conservation project — a habitat restoration, a species recovery effort, a school land project, a state agency partnership — SCI matches the contribution dollar for dollar.
That’s why a chapter dinner fundraiser in Columbiana, Ohio can move serious money onto the ground in Mercer County, Pennsylvania. The chapter raises the first dollar. SCI matches it. The project gets both.

A Story Worth Telling
A few years back, our chapter contributed to a group of students at a Northwest Pennsylvania school in Venango County who were raising funds to build a pheasant pen on school property. They needed the matching capital. We provided it. The pen got built. The kids learned habitat management hands-on. The pheasants got released onto regional land.
That’s the model — small chapter, real local impact, money that goes where it actually matters.
DONATED ACROSS ALL CHAPTER PROGRAMS
Verified chapter contributions to conservation, education, and community programs since our founding — before SCI Matching Grant multipliers are counted. The actual impact on the ground is significantly higher.
Conservation is funded one dinner at a time.
The Annual Night of the Hunter Dinner is the engine. Your ticket, your bid, your raffle entry — that’s how this work gets done.
