THE NATIONAL & GLOBAL ORGANIZATION

We're one chapter. SCI is the network.

Safari Club International is the world’s leading hunting rights and conservation organization — and our chapter is one of nearly 150 that carry the mission forward at the local level.

The leader in defending the freedom to hunt.

Safari Club International (SCI) is the only hunting rights organization with a Washington, D.C.–based national and international advocacy team — and the only one with an all-species focus. From its headquarters in San Antonio, Texas, and its Hunters’ Embassy in Washington, D.C., SCI mobilizes nearly 150 chapters and affiliate networks representing millions of hunters worldwide.

SCI’s mission is straightforward: defend the freedom to hunt, and promote sustainable-use wildlife conservation across the globe.

What SCI Does at the National and Global Level

Federal Advocacy

SCI's advocacy team works in Washington to oppose international hunting import bans, defend Second Amendment rights, and ensure science-based wildlife policy at every federal agency.

Legal Advocacy

When anti-hunting groups go to court, SCI's legal team is there. SCI has been party to dozens of landmark cases protecting hunters' rights.

State, Local, and International Advocacy

From statehouse fights over hunting access to international treaty negotiations affecting trophy importation, SCI engages at every level where hunting policy is made.

Conservation & Education

Through SCI and the SCI Foundation, the organization funds wildlife research, habitat work, the American Wilderness Leadership School (AWLS), the Sensory Safari program, and a global record-keeping system for big game.
