This policy explains what information the SCI East Ohio / Northwest PA Chapter of Safari Club International (“the chapter,” “we”) collects through this website, how we use it and the choices you have. The chapter is a volunteer-run local chapter of Safari Club International. What we collect
- Contact form: your name and email address, and, if you choose, your phone number, city, state, ZIP code and message.
- Event tickets: the buyer’s name and email address and the tickets ordered. Payment is processed by Stripe.
- Donations: your name and email address; if you choose, your phone number and mailing address; the gift amount and frequency, designation and any tribute name. Payment is processed by Stripe.
- Hunt Spotlight submissions: your name and email address, your phone number and SCI member number if you give them, your hunt story and details, and the photos you upload. If the board approves your hunt, only your first name, the hunt details, your story and your photos appear on the site.
- Newsletter sign-up: your name and email address.
- Technical information: like most websites, our web host keeps basic server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) to keep the site secure and working. Our spam protection, Cloudflare Turnstile, checks your browser when you submit a form.
We never see or store your full card number; Stripe handles card details directly. We don’t use advertising or tracking pixels, and we don’t sell or rent your personal information.
How we use it
- To answer your messages and pass them to the right volunteer.
- To process ticket orders and donations, send receipts and tickets, and keep the chapter’s financial records.
- To send chapter news, if you signed up. You can opt out at any time.
- To review and publish Hunt Spotlights you submit.
- To keep the site secure and block spam.
Who we share it with
- Chapter officers and volunteers who need it to answer you or run an event or program.
- Companies that run parts of the site for us: Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (spam protection), Google (maps shown on some pages), our web host, and IGNITE Marketing Group, which builds and maintains the website and receives copies of form notifications.
- Safari Club International, when needed for membership or chapter reporting.
- Government authorities, if the law requires it.
Each of these companies has its own privacy policy, for example Stripe, Cloudflare and Google.
Hunt Spotlights and other published content
Submissions are reviewed before anything is published. If your Hunt Spotlight is published, the story, photos and the name you provide will be public on this website. If you want a published story changed or taken down, use the contact form.
How long we keep it
Messages and submissions are kept as long as we need them to respond and run chapter programs. Ticket and donation records are kept as long as needed for accounting and tax purposes.
Your choices
- Ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you.
- Unsubscribe from chapter emails at any time.
- Send any request through the contact form. A chapter volunteer will reply.
Children
This website is meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Parents or guardians should handle sign-ups for youth programs.

Security
The site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and only the volunteers and providers listed above can see form entries and orders. No website is perfectly secure, so please don’t send sensitive information such as card numbers through the contact form.
